Arc: Designing Collaborative Learning and Workspaces

Arc is the endlessly adaptable, multipurpose chair, here to recreate learning and workspaces. Arc has been designed for primary use in the secondary and further education sector, but also easily adapts to café, laboratory and conference settings with ease.

Arc aims to re-energise working and learning spaces, making them a more collaborative environment for all users, while also incorporating a thoughtful level of safety and consideration when it comes to social distancing and personal space.

SPACE MANAGEMENT & SAFETY

Arc is one of a limited number of products that has been certified to both Parts 1 & 2 of the education standard BS EN 1729, specifying strength, stability, and ergonomic requirements.

With the ability to adapt to any environment or atmosphere, Arc is versatile. It has been designed to work in any type of space, with the capability to fit to multiple frames and leg sets, creating limitless design options.

ARC MOBILE CHAIR

The Mobile chair is easy to integrate into flexible working environments, whether in the office or educational settings, to modernise the way these spaces look and feel. This chair gives the user the ability to move around areas with ease and reconfigure multipurpose rooms quickly, while maintaining personal safety and productivity levels.

ARC COMMUNITY CHAIR WITH STORAGE BASE & PERSONAL WORKSPACE

Considered and designed to be highly mobile and with personal space management in mind, the storage base provides extra space for your belongings, while also practicing social distancing in large settings like universities and offices. The chair also offers multipurpose solutions for busy working environments with an optional rotating arm tablet fixed to the chair and fitted with a fold out cup holder.

COLLABORATION & DYNAMIC SPACES

We’ve all got used to working in the confines of our homes, but, as we break back out into our workspaces, we need to look closely at how to adapt to social distancing rules and keep our space our own.

After this last year, many of us are looking forward to being able to connect and collaborate with our colleagues in person, rather than over a screen or phone.

Arc wants to create adaptive, flexible and dynamic spaces for everyone in working and learning environments. Whether that be through adding comfort with arm tablets, storage bases or 3D tilt, or recreating workspaces with open plan designs, to uplift the well-being of the spaces’ users and reconnect them with others. Creating spaces and products that make its users, especially students, feel connected has been seen to improve both productivity and mental well-being, creating a more positive and focused learning environment.

This is what Arc is looking to achieve with its range, moulding it around the users need for movability, productivity and comfort.

ARC DYNAMIC 3D TILT CHAIR & personal workspace

The Dynamic 3D Tilt chair has a unique 3D mechanism that instinctively tilts forward, back and side to side with the user's weight as they work—creating a dynamic and comfortable sitting experience. It intertwines into flexible working and learning environments, whether IT and office spaces or education environments such as universities. This swivel chair gives the user the ability to move around areas with ease, as well as an optional arm tablet, perfect for notetaking in lecture halls and keeping your space your own.

ARC SWIVEL & personal workspace

The swivel provides the same features as the Dynamic 3D tilt chair, with the same added comfort and movability, except that it is height adjustable only. It is a highly portable chair that promotes flexible working spaces; this is a quality that directly translates into classroom performance as when students can move around, they are more collaborative and engaged.

Arc has been designed to move away from the typical aesthetic you see in education and work settings. There is a deep need for flexibility and connection in learning spaces. Comfort and adaptability creating more collaborative, connected and engaged environments for all.

The Arc chair fits perfectly in a range of settings. Whether used in cafes, universities, or modernised office spaces, the Arc chair can adapt and evolve to its many stages. Arc comes in a range of colours and styles, edging itself away from the typical look and feel of secondary and higher education chairs.  Arc has strayed away from using bright primary colours, delving instead into new shades like sage, coral and anthracite. Whatever your need, Arc can fulfil it.

Arc will be available from August 2021. For more information, contact us or go to arc-chair.com.
