Purpose
The Finance Manager is responsible for preparing and delivering the individual company management accounts and the group management reporting pack to agreed deadlines each month. The FM is also responsible for ensuring full trial balance integrity including preparing and reviewing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Main Duties
General & Reporting
• Production of monthly Group management reporting pack and all supporting documents to agreed deadlines (including individual company management accounts, variance analysis, by channel analysis, commentary etc)
• Ensure full trial balance integrity and consistent chart of accounts maintained
• Prepare and/or review all monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare, review and update the monthly P&L forecast with actual results
• Prepare and/or review and submit VAT returns (quarterly)
• Annual audit file preparation and review
• Other ad hoc tasks as required
Managerial
• Manage direct reports (Purchase Ledger Supervisor and Management Accountant)
• Support colleagues in Finance department as needed
